Founded in 1919, Kewpie has been bringing consumers in Japan bold and distinctive flavors for a century and nothing represents that like their flagship product: mayonnaise. This reformulation of their original Japanese mayonnaise is made the same way: using only egg yolks, which gives it a creamier, eggier taste than other mayonnaise you might be used to. The umami flavor in this version comes from yeast extract rather than traditional MSG but it’s the same great Kewpie flavor that people have come to know and love.
